Bob Jones is an 18-year resident of West Deptford. He graduated from Arthur P. Schalick High School in 1996, Rowan University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Rowan University in 2010 with a Master’s in Engineering Management. Bob currently works as a General Manager; a role that has afforded him experience with results-oriented planning, managing operating budgets, and doing what he enjoys most: teaming with others to overcome challenges, create value, and lead positive change.
Bob and his wife, Trista, have two children that are in the West Deptford School System. Their son, Gabriel, is in the sixth grade at West Deptford Middle School, and their daughter, Selene, is in fourth grade at Greenfields Elementary School. Bob and Trista both think that West Deptford Schools have a wonderful combination of parents, teachers, administrators, and Board of Education members that are passionate about our students and their education. Trista has come to know this first-hand through her multiple years of serving in different roles on the PTO.
Bob pursued a seat on the West Deptford Board of Education because he thinks that West Deptford schools have an opportunity to be among the top 100 for education in New Jersey. “The West Deptford School System is doing a good job of educating our students, but I think that when it comes to education we must always strive for better. A drive for continuous improvement is also a drive for continuous learning. I’m grateful and excited for the opportunity as a member of the West Deptford Board of Education to talk with parents, teachers, administrators, and the other members of the Board to learn how we can work together to make a West Deptford education an outstanding education.”
